Zone Conference

Knocking on doors

Hello Family! How are you? I am doing great! Last week we had multiple lessons but we also had a lot of time trying to find people to teach. Knocking on doors is not always the easiest, but we tried our hardest. Being diligent paid off! On Monday, after p-day we went out to a referral and what to you know??? We got a new investigator! Actually, several new investigators! We finally found a family to teach. It's a mom and dad and 6 kids, 4 of the kids are over 8 yrs. and they want to learn so much! It is so exciting! We have another lesson with them this week and I cannot wait. This morning a member called us (we haven't met her yet) she wants to come out with us. Members present at lessons is essential to conversion and she is coming with us to see this family. Yay! Also, this week we have zone conference, so I get to learn more and get more training! The temple visit is coming up...So excited! I hope you are all doing well. Thank you for the letters. I love you all so much! Love Sister King

OUR ZONE "FUN DAY" IT WAS AWESOME!

Feeling great!

Hi Family, It has been a pretty long week. My surgery went great. After surgery it hurt, but not too bad. As time has passed I am actually feeling great! I feel like I am back on track and I am going to be healthy again:) After surgery, they gave me pain pills and those helped....maybe a little too much! haha I was pretty loopy. The Shuley's took us to church and they made fun of me in gospel principles, ya it was hilarious. I am now eating regular food but I am taking it easy. Thank you all for the prayers, I know it helped. We were able to have a Zone Fun Day. The mission president and his wife are very proud of us for all of our hard work and so they decided it it would be fun to "hang out" with them. It was awesome! We played games and then watched "17 Miracles". I also played a little basketball..out of everyone, I was the only sister who played. Shocker:) I really am learning so much. It is so great being in the Lord's hands. Yesterday we had 72 degree weather and it was so nice, but today it is suppose to snow...sounds like Utah! I am so looking forward to reaching my goals this month and I want to accomplish more. President Porter has set up a time for all of us to go to the temple THIS MONTH! We are going to the Louisville Temple on the 28th. I can't wait! I love teaching the gospel so much. Transfers come up again on April 2nd. I don't know what will happen, I have really learned to love the people in this area, but I will go where the Lord wants me to go:) I am going to be done training now. I am very happy. I want you all to know that I am so proud of my family. I am so grateful I was born into such an amazing family and into the gospel. I love you all so much and I appreciate all you do for me. Ozzy, congrats on your Eagle and USU! Dad, send me more quotes, I love them! Ethan, you are an amazing young man! Mom, you are my BFF! I love you all! Sister King

No more snow!!

Dear Family, How are you? It has been a crazy busy week! The baptism that was suppose to happen did not happen yet. She is so ready, but we want her whole family with her, so hopefully it will happen soon. Anyway, I want you to know that I am okay. I know the Dr's office called you this week and you probably freaked out a little. I am hoping Sister Porter will call you and give you an update, but I promise I am going to be okay. I got a blessing today and it helped. I go to see an oral surgeon on March 6th and I am sure someone is going to find out what is going on with my jaw. It's hard work sometime because I am in pain but I just have to keep truckin'. I love you all so much, please keep me in your prayers. Now on to the other stuff going on...the weather here is so nice and there is NO MORE SNOW! Thank heavens. It got so cold here. We also have multiple investigators right now that are going to be baptized soon. Satan sure knows how to work on them though. I am so grateful for the gospel. On Wednesday when Brother Shuley emailed you it was because we reached 30 lessons that week. Sister Parker and I are breaking records! We are doing really great. The Elder I arm wrestled was new to our area. He was transferred here on Tuesday. That was the first time I met him and it would have been cool if I would have won! I arm wrestled Larry, the other one in the video before and he is AWESOME! He said I almost had him. On Thursday we did exchanges again and I was with Sister Curtis. She is so great. We had a lot of success with our visits. I am starting to cook more often. We actually took dinner to a less active family. I made Ritz Chicken and they LOVED it! It's fun cooking.I hope you are all doing great! I miss you all so much. I cannot believe how time flies here! I am keeping busy and I love teach the gospel! I love you all! Sister King
